Tam, son of K'Tun is a felin male who was adopted and raised by a klingon family. As a small child, Tam was the last survivor of an assault on a felin outpost, then taken in by a klingon crew that found him. Now, he is stationed on the IKS T'umogh as part of a skeleton crew of eight. He is a mere lieutenant commander but won the first officer's room in a drinking contest -- quite impressive when you have only one liver.
Tam is quite obviously not a klingon, but to bring this up would be dishonorable and an insult to House Rakodh. Even he himself does not acknowledge it.
Take heed, Durq. When you engage in a battle of wits against the Little Creature, do not look away.
