Hero title
A hero title is granted to a felin who is outstanding on a given profession, job, or Path, to such a degree that they out-outstand whoever may hold that title before them. Titles may completely replace their owners' name in reverential speech.
For example, Chelsie managed to display exemplary skills in hunting despite being entirely self-taught and isolated, and so out-hunted the previous holder of the title. Jalmine (the historical one) was an exemplary assassin, Remthil Oparhal was the best playwright of their time, etc.
Once a hero title is given, it can not be taken away by being outdone -- it's perfectly possible for two contemporary individuals to both be "The Dancer".

Not actually heroic
Some of the registered titles are not actually "heroic" in any obvious sense, such as The Assassin. It's a matter of perspective, as The Assassin is a kind of inspiring figure for other assassins to look up to and aspire to match or surpass.
Not actually titles
Plenty individuals may be given unofficial titles that just describe what they're known for. An individual may have several of these pseudo-titles.
