Laenathin (lænaþin in Felinese), was considered one of Firrhna's finest strategists.
As a Beard, he milked the look for all it was worth, looking for all intents and purposes like the manliest felin on the planet. His appetite for brutal efficiency in battle was only matched by his libido afterwards. In the latter half of his life, Laenathin served on The Council, at the planetary level. Officially he was the Face, but he held enough sway on his own to convince the rest of the council to funnel resources into space travel.
Just a year before his untimely death, the first surhinaut landed on one of the planet's moons, establishing their species' first foothold in space.
