    How very Aztec.

I was thinking "How very Space Harrier"

I was thinking of some Atari 2600 game that I can't remember the name of.

Turning off "Adaptive sizing" should fix the problem, or at least help, but if you want to keep it on, just manually resizing the window a pixel or two is enough to set it right. I don't think this can easily be fixed, though - the price of having a nice GUI on both Linux and Windows for a one-man emulator is that both platforms are a bit quirky.

Thanks a bunch! that helped a lot. The emulation frame is centered in enough conditions now.

Yeah, i understand that getting something to compile AND work on windows and linux is difficult in itself ( especially the linux part ). If byuu is reading - thanks so much for making Higan work so well on linux.

Screwtape In the video settings tab there's an option labelled "Adaptive Sizing". If it's enabled (which it is by default), when the video output resizes for whatever reason (you load a game for a different console, you toggle aspect correction, whatever) higan tries to resize the window to fit snugly around the video.

if higan can't resize the window for whatever reason (you're using your window manager's "toggle fullscreen" mode to force fullscreen, or you're using a tiling window manager that doesn't support resizing) then higan *thinks* it's resized the window, so it draws the video at x=0, y=0, but of course it hasn't, so you just get the video showing in the top left.

Turning off "Adaptive sizing" should fix the problem, or at least help, but if you want to keep it on, just manually resizing the window a pixel or two is enough to set it right. I don't think this can easily be fixed, though - the price of having a nice GUI on both Linux and Windows for a one-man emulator is that both platforms are a bit quirky.
    neptronix Howdy folks.
So i just had major leg surgery and pulled out my laptop running ubuntu 18.04 linux to keep me company.
I played with all emulators including retroarch and holy smokes they are just unstable and unrefined.

Higan is great and i like it as much as ZSNES and BSNES on Windows. I am running version 1.06.

The one funky thing it does is that the screen does not stay centered within the black box when you flip between full screen mode, maximized window, etc.
It seems to forget to center itself at times and defaults to an x/y of 0,0.

My C/C++ fu is not strong enough to fix this, but it seems like a simple fix. It seems to be a problem in all the graphics drivers.
