That's pretty sweet. I seem to remember FireBrandX making a super-accurate CGI SNES controller, down to that specific grain the plastic has... great attention to detail in his 3D work.

He also made a superb NTSC colour palette for use in NES emulators.

LMXT: Built in America. By Americans. For Americans.

If you have a deja vu feeling with this "American" plane, it's because it already failed to impress the USAF a decade ago, due to its fatal flaw of "not being from an American manufacturer" (Instead, the USAF choose to set ablaze a big pile of taxpayers money pick a BUGGYBUGGYBUGGY Boeing special, complete with questionable MCAS and leaky fuel systems!).

This time, it seems Lockheed Martin managed to convince Airbus to build their fancy tanker IN USA! USA! USA!, slap a Lockheed Martin sticker over the Airbus nameplate, and bribe some folks at Congress just to not fade into irrelevancy. Oh, and to get some of that sweet, sweet taxpayer money from the Defense budget.

The Airbus A330 MRTT Lockheed Martin LMXT: as American as "Designed by Apple in California and Made in China™"

And now, for something slightly different: the ultimate boring Corolla:
    https://www.thedrive.com/news/24487/this-400-hp-beater-toyota-corolla-with-a-3s-gte-engine-swap-is-the-ultimate-sleeper

Ugly. Beaten. Hideous. Completely unremarkable. And it can kick your ass every day 'till next year!

...provided those cheapo tires hold all that raw power, of course.

That Corolla is many things, but boring is not one of them. :P

My first car was a pre-owned Ford Festiva hatch. I had a soft spot for the little econobox, and had pretty fond memories hanging out with friends with it (imagine fitting 6-8 people like some clown car).

So I was really surprised when I first read about the Ford SHOgun. Jay Leno had one of the seven units ever made. Although, it wouldn't be considered a sleeper by virtue of the hood scoops and visibly wider rear end and dual exhaust.

There was even this more recent article mentioning the potential of plunking a Hellephant engine into a Festiva frame, I highly doubt it can realistically be acheived though. I think a more feasible solution would be to go the EV route with twin motors.

I still have no idea what I'm talking about.

    The 100 MHz 6502

Remember: the "F" is for "FPGA". Or for "fast". Or for "fuck me sideways, my Commodore now feels like a Cray!".

Too bad you can't just drop it into a NES and make a Super Nintendo Lite...

Desperate for a PlayStation® 5? Wanna do anything for one? And when I say "anything", I really mean anything!
Well... consider tourism to Soviet Venezuela, of course! Just saw this at one of our many local Honest Saddam's Overpriced Appliances And More stores:

Before you ask: yes, all price tags here are in AMERICAN DOLLARS, not whatever memetastic variety of the bolivar we have this week. This Japanese-spec (look carefully at the CERO A rating on the box) PS5 can be yours for the low, LOW bargain price of $1050! Or, 700 minimum wages - for the day when you can finally afford one, even your $30 KrapOS™ wristwatch will be able to emulate four of those simultaneously, and consoles will be extinct anyway...

Better snag one of those $4.80 24-pak ballpoint pens and start selling those at the bus stop - at 50¢ a pen, you'll get that PS5 after selling your 88th 145th carton (margins included).

I can peek a slot there, so yeah.

Fun fact: the same store also sells pre-modded PS2s for $99. In 2021. WHY.
