Posted by wertigon Oh yeah, at least the good ones do. This hack works on bsnes, higan and Snes9x (and should work on hardware obviously). The "hack was only tested on ZSNES" era is gone for good it seems. I think smwcentral will indicate when a hack has issues on hardware(/good SNES emulators). Not sure if they even accept new submissions where it only works on ZSNES. |

Someone figured out why Max Payne wasn't working with AMD's Ryzen 3000 CPU's. Initially it was thought to be a bug with the new CPU's but it turns out it's a coding bug in the game! It's improperly parsing the capabilities of CPU's and was somehow working until now. https://old.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/dr5f0b/a_uniquely_ryzen_3000_problem_max_payne_2001/f6q2krp/ AMD Ryzen 3700X | MSI Gamer Geforce 1070Ti 8GB | 16GB 3600MHz DDR4 RAM | ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) Motherboard | Windows 10 x64 |

Shantae and the Seven Sirens. Little did I know I was about 15-20 minutes away from the End of Part One. Transition into a cliffhanger, and now you can wait until Part Two releases, some time in the future, just hold your horses and keep paying the monthly Apple Arcade fee. Whelp, Game Freak cements my desire to not play their game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3gYUVWGEqM There's a bug that wipes out all downloaded games on the Switch. You have to redownload every game. Also erases all Save Data for every game. I'm given to understand that this is a Switch problem, not a SwSh problem, related to poor ExFAT support on the system itself. This has reportedly also happened while playing Cadence of Hyrule, Breath of the Wild, and possibly others I can't recall, with the one common factor being ExFAT-formatted SD cards. |

Posted by Kawa And that in turn is due to Microsoft refusing to release proper documentation for their file system. Wee! :D Solution; Let the Switch format your SD card instead. Better compatibility. |

So much was implied. The important part is that its ExFAT support is bugged. |

They could use Samsung's excellent implementation, but that would require them to either pay Samsung for alternate licensing, or somehow import GPL code. |

Or, bear with me here... They could've not supported ExFAT at all at first, maybe throw up a message about it if the card's ExFAT. Then, after MS released the specs, add ExFAT support in a system update. Does that sound like a reasonable thing to do in another timeline? |

Maybe, if you consider the alternative for >32GB flash cards is either to format them as NTFS and use ntfs-3g to interface with them, or just not support anything that big. Well, there is the third alternative, asking users to reformat their drives as FAT32 using a third party utility, since Windows won't let you format a FAT32 partition larger than 32GB. |

Would it be reasonable for the Switch itself to wipe existing data and format the SD card as FAT32 (which Windows supports)? Android wipes any SD cards you mount on /sdcard. |

Only if you get a confirmation that it wants to do so, a fair chance to cancel out and get another card. |

I'm spending time in Windows again, and I've been playing Axiom Verge. I'd be playing it in macOS, except that Epic Game Store doesn't provide a macOS port on their shop. And I only have it on EGS because it was one of the free games they gave away some months back. Definitely don't have $20 to buy it on Steam right now. |

And like that, I finished it, with 99% map completion and 92% item collection rate. Damn, that last boss was easy, what with those laser pods doing such weak damage, and frequently dropping such a huge health boost. I didn't even bother with the optional boss, apparently there's supposed to be a trophy for sparing it? Too bad EGS doesn't do cheevos. |
