    NES Tetris:
    CTWC 2018 Top 4 - Pt. 2 - Greentea vs. Jonas

Also Capcom Pro Tour December 14-16. $250,000 first place I believe. Top 32 players are gonna be there (well, except for Infiltration, he's probably never gonna play competitively again)

    wut? is he retired?

Also, Tekken 7 World Tour was won by a Kuma/Panda :O

EDIT: dang, that first tetris match was a nailbiter!

Damn, I missed the T7WT. Time to see the replay then. And yes: CTWC is always hype :D

Regarding Infiltration, it's related to his domestic abuse charges with his ex: https://capcomprotour.com/capcom-response-charges-seon-woo-infiltration-lee/ I guess it's not impossible he may play again in the future, but he's definitely out of this year's CPP.

    Top 8 and Grand Finals

I really thought spoilers was going to take the tournament...I think he was getting too excited towards the end, especially when he resetted. His comeback from a 2-0 deficit against J.Wong's very keep away Menat was great.

Evil Ryu/Shadow/Kage or whatever looks actually pretty good, except for the silly horns/teeth. Hope Daigo picks him, like he did in SFIV with E.Ryu

I just watched that Capcom Cup match. That was some lame-ass bullshit. Two all-time great players facing off with two of the all-time lame-af-est characters. SF5 at its worst...

I kind of like Abigail tbh, if only because he is (or was anyway) ridiculously broken. Rashid oth is not a fun character to watch, I would agree on that. Him or Cammy for most boring character imo.

Abigail has gotten pretty nerf-ed in S4 -he's still viable I think for a tank character, but his most broken tech has been toned down quite a bit. Itabashi is getting back on the 'Gief train (who has been buffed himself) as a result. Daigo is getting back to Ryu. So we have a pro player playing Ryu this season. Crazy stuff.

edit: in-depth list of changes for each characters:

Oh nice, I hadn't seen the gief changes but they're pretty substantial. Making all of his buttons into SPD frametraps is nice, for sure.

Didn't see a lot live due to Japan time but Guilty Gear's Top 8 -especially Grand Finals - Summit vs Chachacha were hype.

Speaking of GG, greatest Evo moment ever.

SFV top 8 were pretty good actually. It's amazing what a couple frames of lag reduction can do, especially at higher levels. Jyobin - Punk was the best match imo.

That was some serious Birdie action. I happened to catch Fuudo getting put into losers on the stream. I guess he just didn't know the Blanka matchup /shrug

Also, I'm glad Capcom added the best stage in Street Fighter (it's the opening one from the SF movie)

Good play by both of them. Daigo clearly got into his head there for a bit, just walking up and throwing him over and over... I'm kinda surprised we don't see more Dictators in tournaments.

Daigo probably studied the hell out of the match-up after he lost against problem at the redbull kumite last time (and lost pretty convincingly despite an impressive comeback one round).

I just wish we saw a Ryu or two once in a while at these tournaments; he's actually pretty fun to watch when played at a high level I guess he's just not viable at super high levels.

Well, could happen if Hayabusa ends up in Smash, maybe.

Had no idea this thing even existed:

Granblue Fantasy: Versus - Closed Beta Test Matchup: Daigo vs. Fuudo

New ArcSys game (Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, DBZF). Looks promising.
