Computers were a BIG mistake.

Nah, computers were fine. It's networking that was a big mistake.

... Or save your money or rob a bank for a gaming PC, if you really still care about modern AAA games...

Definitely don't rob a bank. Low payout, high security. Not as bad an idea as robbing a gun store, but... it's up there.
Rob a liquor store instead.

You can't just deprecate a language, Mark. COBOL's still around, you think you can just say "deprecated" and C and CPP will magically disappear? That's only how it works for Apple product designers.

Hell, CPP didn't even kill off regular C. Or CSharp, for that matter.

Csharp's purpose was to kill off java.
So Microsoft deprecated Java. And last I heard, people were still using it even as Oracle tried to shake them down for money because copyright means they own language.

I am playing... *sigh* a freemium Megaman X fanwank platformer called Megaman X Dive, since I saw it got a Windows port and isn't constrained to touchscreen pocket PCs anymore.

It is not the best thing ever, but it's more love than Capcom has showed most of the Megamens in a couple of decades. And I guess that counts for something.

- There is now a "jelly-like" scrolling effect when you reach the top or the end of some widget contents. Stupid as hell, and no way to disable it, of course.
That was causing me genuine discomfort after my pocket PC updated the other day.

Accessibility options, disable animations.

Kills a bunch of other stuff too, but worth it to have a computer that doesn't literally make me wanna blow chunks.

It has been this way since WINDOWS 95! (Dunno if MS fucked it post-W7?)

Sad to say, they did. Seemingly in the name of privacy, based on the options I had to toggle and the fact that they put a big microphone icon in the tool tray.

Source: decided to use a 90s MIDI module with WinX.
