Posted by KoiMaxx Tbh, initially it almost sounded like some kind of small nuke after hearing about the size of the shock wave but thankfully it wasn't the case (wiki says it was one of the biggest non nuclear explosion in history). Still horrible obviously and it indeed looks like 2020 just keeps on giving. |

Posted by KoiMaxx Damn...Pretty nuts. The Halifax Explosion more than a 100 years ago was almost 3 times as powerful (equivalent to 2.9kt of TNT). Posted by funkyass Indeed: Operation Teapot 1955 Apple 2 Atomic Bomb Test. To quote a wise man: That's a lot of damage. The thermal blast is almost instantaneous too (though I think much smaller than the after shock). |

(Technically still software related) Neat little trick to download videos from YT using VLC: Download/Convert YouTube Videos to Mp4 using VLC Media Player Just copy the text, save it to youtube.luac then place it in VLC's lua/playlist folder. |

If the link doesn't start playing, you might need to update/replace the youtube.luac file located here: https://github.com/videolan/vlc/blob/master/share/lua/playlist/youtube.lua After that you should be able to open the video the way funkyass mentioned. Once it's playing go to tools > codec information and copy the 'location' link. |

Posted by funkyass Nope. Not VLC itself; the youtube.luac file. The (luac) file that comes bundled with the latest version of VLC is different than the one linked. Tried a fresh install of the latest 3.0.11 version without updating the luac file and all it did when trying to play the video was to show a thumbnail of the video for a brief moment and then stop. |
