I see you have an archive of the current bboard hosted here. When the board finally gets locked down and you get a final dump of it, any chance you might post a zip file? I'd really like to have a copy of it. Or else, can you post the scraper you used to dump it?

I could indeed post the code for the scraper. I assume you'll want the two cleanup phases too.

Currently, the higan docs link to this forum post, but I can't find that thread in the currently-available archive.

You were in the bsnes subforum mirror instead of the higan subforum mirror.

OK, so that forum post is great, and exactly what I wanted.

Meanwhile, this forum post in the same thread seems to have had all its block-quotes removed, compared to the original version.

    Overzealous sanitization, I guess?

Could be. I'll probably run an all-new dump anyway once the board goes on lockdown đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

And the new dump won't create new URLs, right? If understand what you've done correctly, it shouldn't, but I figured I'd ask...

It shouldn't, no. They're all basically the original url, replace ? with @, add .html, 濃配しăȘいで.

I've ran a new dump, uncleaned as yet. And I'll probably do another -- it's easier to grab the whole thing than to aim at select updated threads, especially when the "unread" marks are already gone.

Then I'll carefully clean them up and upload then.

Are you saying that you're cleaning kernels from a dump?

I agree with that recommended action wholeheartedly. Once you are through picking kernels out of your dump, you damn well BETTER clean your hands.
