Just found this track: Super Chase - Criminal Termination Music: Stage 4 I found it to be the right mix of being low-key enough as to not be distracting while still being upbeat enough when programming. Kinda reminiscent of some 90s film soundtrack. |

The Action 52 soundtrack, which is surprisingly good ringtone material. And then, I hate my smartphone so I decided to rip some of the tracks from the NSF and turn them into ringtones. Contrary to expectations, both Cheetahmen tracks are not great ringtones, so I ended using the Atmos Quake track instead, and one of the many generic jump sounds as the main notification sound. I am playing through the entire history of OverClocked ReMixes, starting from #1. I'm up to 451 now. I've also seen quite a number that were stricken from the record for various reasons, including the remixer asking them to be removed. I have most of Brandon Strader's old remixes, if anyone wants them. I also loved this one Paperboy remix, "Evening Jam", that was deleted because it was "too reliant on sampled phrases carrying the melody" or some shit like that. And a "remix" or rather original song composed using the ocarina instrument from Ocarina of Time, called "Ocarina Boogie", which was deleted because it wasn't actually a game music remix. |

I think Ocarina Boogie was the first song I ever downloaded from OCRemix, when the site first got linked on Slashdot or wherever. It's very definitely A Cool Thing That's Relevant To Video Games And Music, and it's actually a fun little track just on its own. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI. |
