I just wanted to copy some PM's from Byuu's forum over to this place so they're still in a familiar and accessible place (as well as keeping a backup on my HDD). AMD Ryzen 3700X | MSI Gamer Geforce 1070Ti 8GB | 16GB 3600MHz DDR4 RAM | ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) Motherboard | Windows 10 x64 |

Hmmm, why the weird "mmmm d, YYYY" English-locale-specific date format for specifying our birth dates? (In fact the board silently discards input in any other format - it doesn't even bother telling you that You're Doing It Wrong™) Or even better: it would be nice to add a calendar popup there. Users are not supposed to be mucking around when inputting data to date fields! (it reminds me how lovely is when users try to manually edit them on my apps despite locking the fields read-only to force them to use the calendar control to pick a date) Licensed Pirate® since 2006, 100% Buttcoin™-free, enemy of All Things JavaScript™ |

I hadn't discovered the new input types back then, so I guess I'll look into it tomorrow? |

Change it to dd/mm/yyyy, thanks. (Yes I know a lot of people here will presumably expect mm/dd/yyyy, screw them! Or make it an option or some such) AMD Ryzen 3700X | MSI Gamer Geforce 1070Ti 8GB | 16GB 3600MHz DDR4 RAM | ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) Motherboard | Windows 10 x64 |

How 'bout I change it to a freakin' dropdown calendar and let your browser sort it out? |

Posted by creaothceann Compromise. Change it to yy/mm/dd/yy (20/11/26/18 for today) The century is clearly different than the year, and should be separate. --- In UTF-16, where available. --- |

It's a date-type input now. If your browser doesn't show it in the format you want, blame your browser. |

Posted by Nicholas Steel As an inhabitant from a dd/mm/yyyy zone, I say: fuck you. Posted by creaothceann As an inhabitant from a dd/mm/yyyy zone, I say: YES PLEASE. The one true date format is the one you can properly sort! Also, fuck dd/mm/yyyy too. Posted by Kawa Thankyouverymuch~ ...oh wait, Seamonkey doesn't support date formats because it is still based on Firefox 52, yet Mozilla only implemented those as of Firefox 57. If your browser, for whatever reason, doesn't do date-type inputs at all, it should use yyyy-mm-dd. That's the format date-type is supposed to use for its raw value, and what the board now expects to find. |

Posted by Kawa I set my birthday to March 1, but my profile is displaying my birthday as February 28. Is there possibly some timezone stuff being applied to something it shouldn't? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Screw_Yall |
