creaothceann Steam has the Winter Sale going on...

    - 19.99€ 2.99€ (-85%) Witcher 2
    - 14.99€ 3.74€ (-75%) Black Mesa Definitive Edition
    - 14,99€ 4,49€ (-70%) Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon
    - 19,99€ 4,99€ (-75%) Bayonetta
    - 19,99€ 4,99€ (-75%) Little Nightmares
    - 29.99€ 5.99€ (-80%) Witcher 3
    - 14.99€ 7.49€ (-50%) Chrono Trigger
    - 14,99€ 7,49€ (-50%) Hollow Knight
    - 18,99€ 9,49€ (-50%) Noita
    - 39,99€ 9,99€ (-75%) Stellaris
    - 39,99€ 11,99€ (-70%) Control
    - 39,99€ 19,99€ (-50%) NieR:Automata
    - 49.99€ 24.99€ (-50%) Horizon: Zero Dawn
    - 59,99€ 29,99€ (-50%) Red Dead Redemption 2
    - 59,99€ 29,99€ (-50%) Sekiro

The Horizon: Zero Dawn devs removed the mandatory shader compilation that was necessary after installing a new graphics driver version, and the newest NVIDIA driver added DLSS support (which, as a side effect, removes the previous excessive grass shimmering). I took that as inspiration to start a new Ultra Hard playthrough.

Gog dot com is giving away the recentish trilogy of Shadowrun RPGs.
creaothceann Steam has the Summer Sale going on, so I got myself some games:

    - Overload
    - Rise of the Tomb Raider
    - Shadow of the Tomb Raider
    - Titanfall 2
tomman Also: if you go here and allow Sega to spy on you link your Steam account NO TWATTER/FECESBOOK WHORING NEEDED!!!, you'll get NiGHTS into Dreams for free, among other random goodies during the celebrations.

...wait, didn't I already had that game from some random bundle years ago?

Too bad the Dreamcast Mini was nothing but some baseless rumor (for starters: Dreamcast emulation is painful even today, and while you can still buy SH4 cores and PowerVR IGPs, I seriously doubt Sega is going to pull an iQue), and even some SoJ guy had to clarify that this was a load of BS "exaggerated by Western media, then reverse-imported by 'serious' JP gaming rags as Word of God"

    Anyway, GO SEGA.
CaptainJistuce Fabulously, they've been celebrating their birthday by changing the "box art" of every game they currently publish on Steam. It looks like they ran a script that takes the existing game art tile and pastes it into a random Sega console package template. They got US, EU, and JP templates, and seem to have a template for each package style on platforms with multiple styles(like Genesis, where both checkerboard and red stripe packages are represented)

I wish it wasn't random, though.

    This makes my head hurt...

But this is so on-brand I can't argue. That SHOULD be a Saturn game.
tomman Sega is giving away a ROM, for free:
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/71163/Sonic_The_Hedgehog_2/

Chances are that either you don't care because your GoodGen No-Intro set already covers all your Sonic 2 needs, or if you're hardcore enough, you already have made your own dump, but I'll take any amnesty chance that I get, because Sega is so cool.

And old. I can't believe Sega already turned 60 years old! It's almost as old as most of our mothers!
CaptainJistuce The developers of Quake-3-but-with-goats-'em-up "Goat of Duty" have made it free through the end of the month to encourage people to stay at home and not spread TEH KHRNOA.

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/555000/GOAT_OF_DUTY/
tomman To ensure people stays in home instead of catching the deadly virus, GOG has a bunch of free games, and a big sale going right now:

Screwtape It's December again, which means the Yogscast Jingle Jam is on again, including the Jingle Jam Bundle - if you pay over US$30, you get Steam keys and discount codes for a bunch of stuff, but however much you give, it all goes to charity.
Nicholas Steel Descent: Freespace 2 (give away)
    https://www.gog.com/#giveaway
Nicholas Steel Death's Gambit is 50% off until the 24th: https://store.steampowered.com/app/356650/

It's effectively Dark Souls as a 2D side scrolling platformer game. Potentially a better imitation than Salt & Sanctuary.
Screwtape The Humble RPG Bundle is another third-party Steam sale, but some of the games in it are also available DRM-free. What's kind of interesting to me is that Tyranny and Pillars of Eternity are *not* available DRM-free from Humble, even though they're available DRM-free through, say, GOG.
Screwtape ToonStruck (a point-and-click adventure game, supported by ScummVM) is free for 24 hours on GOG.
neologix How about you sticky it if you feel that it should be visible fairly often?
Screwtape Reposting because I am a chump who can't find his own damn giveaways thread:

Obduction (a surreal adventure game made in 2016 by the creators of Myst) is free for 24 hours on GOG.
tomman Steam needs no excuses for a random sale. But if it involves Japanese games, it's greatly welcome!

    https://store.steampowered.com/sale/gws2019/

Go get your cheap Neptunias, keep enlarging your endless visual novel backlog, and now that ZUN has officially sanctioned the sale of Touhou fangames, legalize your RAWMs too!

Or you can keep giving your money to Crapcom and Konami, if that's how you roll.
Nicholas Steel For a limited time you can buy Grid 2 & DLC for $0 at Humble Bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/store/grid2-spa-bathurst
Screwtape Humble Indie Bundle 20 is here. I think the most notable game so far is probably bunny murder simulator Overgrowth, the long-in-development sequel to 3D brawler Lugaru, which was in the first ever Humble Indie Bundle.
Screwtape GOG is giving away Distraint: Deluxe Edition, "a 2D psychological horror adventure game".

This does not actually go there and I regret nothing.
