- There's a *lot* of sidequests. Like "randomly generated" a lot. It very much wasn't clear to me when those side-quests would be appropriate for my character to tackle - often I'd attempt a side-quest I'd picked up (or stumble into one before I'd picked it up), get my ass handed to me, and come back five levels later to discover that the monster were five levels higher now, and have my ass handed to me again.


Note that only the Bounties are randomly generated, all the other side quests are fixed (at least before you get to the end game on the 3rd, hardest playthrough). There's also a great Discord server for getting help with the game.

Assuming your computer is running Microsoft Windows Vista or newer, you can reinstall the operating system with a 64bit installation. Backup important documents, pictures & files first.

Post 2000, HLE is more interesting IMO, that's when games started to shift from metal-optimized to API-optimized games. Given that Vulkan and Direct3D 12 can easily emulate any other older 3D API (including OpenGL, Glide and other more exotic options), and the other APIs (Sound, Input, Video) are pretty much unchanged (as in, same underlying technology) since the 2000s, well... It should be possible to emulate most consoles, PS3 being the final boss methinks.

Xbox 360 is the "final boss". PS3 emulation is quite good at the moment (RPCS3).

I don't know if it works with Palemoon, but I use https://github.com/tom-james-watson/old-reddit-redirect for staying on Old Reddit. It redirects Reddit URL's on pages to point to the old.reddit.com domain.

I've experienced Windows failing to detect half my DDR3 RAM before, this happened when applying a "extreme" XMP overclock to the RAM (1866MHz DDR3 with tight timings). Backing it off allowed Windows to detect all of it.

The RAM sticks included 2 XMP profiles with one of them being more extreme than the other. Both caused issues so I just set the Speed and left all the Timings on Auto.

Taking swings at GIF is a lot easier, though "just serve a video file and advertise it as a GIF so the user gets an auto-looping animation with no controls" is the worst solution.

Often you can force the browsers native video player UI to appear, making it better than GIF since you can now pause on any frame you want!
