(I end mapping C/Z to the shoulder buttons, but depending on the game this goes from "nice" to "ARGH!")
Arcade to SNES ports of Street Fighter games, anyone?

I'm happy to report mine has a switch on the bottom to enable DirectInput mode.

I don't use it.

Of course it's not "whatever Chrome does". The First Webpage is perfectly valid HTML as Sir Tim Berners-Lee first drafted it!

So basically the entire part above the breadcrumbs and pager on this very page would be <header>, and the credits and such below would be <footer>. Did I get that right?

In an interview with Teiyu Goto, designer of the original PlayStation controller, he explained what the symbols mean: The circle and cross represent "yes" and "no," respectively (which explains their common use as "confirm" and "cancel" in games; this layout is reversed in Western games)

That's mean. You're mean.

Also there is already a "block user" feature that you can use if you want.

Found anything particularly nutty in SCI games, Kawa?
SCI games don't run on Steam. They're too damn old for that. They may have custom ScummVM builds wrapped around them though. The Larry bundle certainly doesn't. The 7th Guest Anniversary Edition on the other hand is a prime example and comes with Steam chives.

What I'd do if I wanted chives in The Dating Pool badly enough is leverage its launcher frontend. It already stays hidden until the DOSBox it spawned is closed so things like the Itch app can tell how long you've been playing, so I'd probably have it watch for a particular file with particular contents to trigger a chive. Or go with a custom ScummVM build I guess 🤷‍♀️

As for nutty not-Steam code in SCI games... only near daily. It's a wonder Quest for Glory 4 even ran at all on contemporary systems.

The exclamation mark means it's a hot thread, not that there's a new, unread post in it. That'd be the plus sign.
