Everyone else will have to wait for SCI Studio 3.1, which will not be released for at least a month, probably over a month due to the incredible amount of documentation I need to do.Time's running out. Where is it? |

Bah, I said "at least a month"... it takes time. If you'd been around since the very beginning, you'd know that I've been developing it since early 1999. It's now mid 2003 ;) I'll be done when it's done. Instead of going for just SCI 1.0 VGA, I've been working on the support for every single SCI version. |

Brian, will you release some beta-versions??? Something like SCI studio VGA with only 1.0 support??? Everybody can't wait!!! Sometime ago you said that it will be ready before New Year ;D ! And now is mid 2003!!! I don't try to tell you to work faster, no, but i try to tell you that you need release even something!!! PS Or maybe you just need to update your news page recently... |

He said that the EGA version would be done by new year... and it was, he released it. Now he is working on making all SCI versions work, so be patient because it takes alot of time to do what he is doing. |

I suppose I'll update the news page soon, but that last news post was kind of "It'll be pretty much same old, same old as far as news for a while, so here's what I'm going to be doing with SCI Studio for the next while". Also, I always encourage everyone to check the forum AND my site. You can see that I've never been absent from the board since the last update, so you know I'm still working on it. |

I don't like releasing beta versions to the public because there are too many newbies that go crazy on me about bugs and unimplemented stuff. Yeah I know, that beta version you sent me of SCI studio VGA couldn't save the changes I made, which kinda made me a little disappointed, but I handled it pretty well and I guess I'll just have to wait until you release the complete version before I can continue in my 'quest' to find out the goodies that are in the game once and for all. I need to get me a book teaching C++, one of the biggest reasons why I stopped learning SCI is really because I had no idea how to use C++, so maybe if I learn, I'll get motivated to test out my new found skills in making several test games. Thanks Brian, I'm posting this from work, but seeing that I'm still in the middle of training and I haven't recieved anything to work on, all I can do is wait till my supervisor comes along and gives me something to do LOL! Anyway, when I tried to save the changes I made, I got a message saying 'sorry, unimplimented!' Despite this, I had a lot of fun looking at the views and texts, I learned things I never knew existed in the game and all in all, I finally feel satisfied that I didn't miss anything. But I wonder if I can 'improve' anything if you take my meaning }:) Anyway, seriously speaking, take as much time as you need to make the new SCI studio, you'd be amazed how much I can wait! And Shish, what do you mean you can't donate because you're Russian? That doesn't really make sense to me. Till next time stay cool 8) |
