Perhaps everyone else here already knows why...but, I just loaded my KQ2 from my collection disk onto my computer and when I opened it up with AGI Studio...there are Space Quest pics and views in it... Is there a demo somewhere? I just went through and finished KQ2 just to see...nothing....If this was pirated or something STUPID like that I would understand...but, it's straight off of the collection CD's. later, -junc |
Corby | When you look into a hole on the top of that cliff after using the magic carpet, an advertisment for Space Quest 1 is shown. Try it out. :) |
SGreenslade | I forget...is that worth a point in the game? |

I dunno about the points.. but the rumour on the street is that Roberta Williams was pretty annoyed when she found out that it was put it and made Mark Crowe (or one of the guy's who made Space Quest) take it out again for a later release of Kings Quest. - Nick |
Andrew_Baker | Roberta is a troll. |

you mean those pretty pictures of her on the back of kings quest boxes are fakes? - Nick |
Andrew_Baker | Erm... I don't mean physically. I just hate her. I don't particularly like her games, either. I meant like Score(-1, Troll) a la slashdot. |

Nick Sonneveld wrote: Makes me wonder... The rumour's been around for a long time (I think it was first mentioned in the SQFAQ), but is it actually true? I think, regarding the PC versions, it isn't... Since AGInfo mentions that there are 2 versions of KQ2 (1 version was packed with 2 different interpreters though) and AFAIK, they both have the 'plug'. Then again, I think that the quote belonged to one of the guys himself... So maybe a non-PC version has it removed? |

Well the amiga agi games have later version numbers.. so it might be true. would have to investigate further. - Nick |
