AGI2SCI

C-16 Is it possible to convert the AGI backgrounds into SCI backgrounds? If so, does anybody have a program or know where to get one that does this?
Brian_Provinciano I wrote a little utility a while back, and I believe there's a new one. However, any background converted from AGI to SCI would be poor quality, and I would recommend everyone to just draw their own SCI native ones. SCI pictures are capable of so much more!
C-16 Drawing SCI pictures is hard tho... :P

A little too hard for me. I prefer VGA. That's why I use AGS for the time being. I'm sure you know what that is so I'm not going into details.
Brian_Provinciano Drawing SCI pictures is nearly identical as to drawing AGI ones. Instead of drawing in 320x168 double pixeled, you're drawing 320x190 single pixeled :)
C-16 Brian: I said AGS, Not AGI. There is a big difference between the two and don't forget that!
Mokalus_of_Borg Does this mean you intended to ask about a utility to convert AGS pictures to SCI?

PS - Can't help you there, if that's the case.
PPS - I intend to rewrite PIC2PIC soon, to take better advantage of the SCI resolution.
C-16 No, not at all. I was refering to AGI but I mentioned AGS very briefly. It had nothing to do with this string. Never mind I even mentioned it. So, yes, I am looking for something that converts AGI pictures into SCI pictures.
Brian_Provinciano I a VERY well aware of AGS!

You said:
"Is it possible to convert the AGI backgrounds into SCI backgrounds? "

Then said:
"Drawing SCI pictures is hard tho... "

After that, you mentioned AGS. The fact that you were talking about AGI/SCI then said that, it sounded to me like you were still referring to AGI.

Finally, as for:
"I said AGS, Not AGI. There is a big difference between the two and don't forget that!"

I am insulted at your tone of words. Anyways, if you'd check my site, and the AGS sites, you'd KNOW I'm well aware of it. Don't speak to me like I'm an idiot. I'm far from it! I could say more to you, but I'll leave it at that.
Mokalus_of_Borg If you're just asking because you want a link without searching for one, then try these two:
ap2sp, Brian's program.
PIC2PIC, my program.

PS - Neither works completely perfectly, though.
PPS - You'll need to touch up the resulting pictures in SCIStudio.
Brian_Provinciano I guess I never ended up testing out your program being so consumed with SCI Studio. Great job! It would be pretty much impossible to create a 100% accurate AGI to SCI picture convertor, but I think yours is about as close to perfect as it can get!

Great job!
