Post Voicer-Kun Support?
Hello, I've been curious about this for a while, so I finally decided to ask here.
Does Higan plan on ever supporting the Voicer-Kun peripheral?

For those that are not familiar with this device, the Voicer-Kun was a remote developed by Koei for the SNES. This remote plugged into the second controller port and was designed to control one's CD Player. Certain Koei games came with an audio CD that contained either voiced dialogue or CDDA music. This CD would be placed in a CD player and the Voicer-Kun would send signals to the CD Player to play certain tracks in tandem with the game; making for a creative way for the SNES to have CD audio.

I don’t believe any emulator has ever added full support for this device, though something tells me that’s purely out of lack of interest. However, with that being said, what are the odds of Higan changing this?

I'll probably support it in the future, after I dump all of my games and rip the Angelique/EMIT CDs.

I'd never heard of this. Is there a list of the Koei titles supporting this?

---Update---

Yes at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voicer-kun, though it seems like it is just Angelique and the three EMIT titles.

(EMIT vol 1-3 is a re-release set.)

Yeah, only 4 games ever supported the Voicer-Kun (three of which are EMIT games). It was released in 1995, so it didn't really have much time to grow. Also, actual CD systems, like the Mega-CD and TurboGrafx-CD, had already been around for almost 5 years at this point. Knowing that, this jerry-rigged remote doesn't exactly make much sense, even by 1995 standards.
