Screwtape | bsnes doesn't use the Retroarch shader format. Instead, it has its own shader format called "Quark". RetroArch's hunterk has been kind enough to convert most of the RetroArch shaders to Quark format, so they can be used with bsnes, higan and ares. If you download the shader archive you can unzip it into bsnes' Shaders directory, and they should appear in the Shaders menu. |
cafevincent | How come my retroarch shaders won't work? I tried GL and D3D12. |

Posted by cafevincent you could hold down the Fn key and hit something along the number row... |

Posted by cafevincentYou don't have to bind it to F11. You could bind it to... I dunno, F. That's why they're all unbound by default. |
cafevincent | My keyboard does not have function keys. I'm back to using bsnes non-hd on retroarch. Thanks anyway. |

Posted by creaothceannIt is. They all are. |
creaothceann | Try the settings... Afaik the fullscreen shortcut is F11, if it's not undefined by default. |
cafevincent | That worked! Thank you. Though now my problem is I can't find a way to make it full screen. bsnes.exe --fullscreen does not work. Also I tried changing the driver in retroarch but the shaders there still won't work. I prefer retroarch. |
Nicholas Steel | Try changing the graphics API to OpenGL (or to DirectX). After changing it restart the program. |
cafevincent | I couldn't get shaders to work in retroarch so I downloaded the latest build of standalone bsnes v115. I see the directory has a shaders dir, and within scalefx, the shader I want to use. But when I open bsnes and check under shaders I only see two options: none or blur. What do I need to do to enable scalefx? |
