isn't this just because shipping with localizations for every language would make for a huge APK file?
Ahhh you're crossing the streams! (topic also has a lot of discussion on localization)

Kingdom Hearts 3 thoughts (No spoilers within):

1) Target Lock-On doesn't engage until you release the button. This makes it feel extremely unresponsive.

2) Target Lock-On doesn't focus the camera on the target. Character movement relative to the target is very unituitive when the camera doesn't follow said target.

3) Why not make Target Lock-On occur when you press the button in and have the Camera begin following the Target when you release the button? Requires no changes to the control scheme for Shotlock. Makes Target Lock-On actually useful instead of a unresponsive confusing mess!

4) FOV is slightly too high. The outer edges of the display are warped/angled inwards as you progressively look further in the distance. Distracting whenever the camera is in motion (not quite as bad as KH2 HD but still pretty bad).

5) When acquiring a new ability there is no way to discern which character gained the ability without checking every character. You can only tell that someone has gained a new ability.

6) Menu UI's are completely missing the Kingdom Hearts aesthetic and instead feels like a default Unity asset. Also the little glowing dancing orb on the currently highlighted menu option has a huge delay when moving between menu items (it slides to the next highlighted menu item), causing it to no longer serve any purpose other than to be distracting/cause the menu to be perceived as unresponsive.

7) HUD is too small and everything is adjacent to the edge of the display instead of inset slightly, so it looks weird.

8) It would be nice if there was a "New" tab for the Items UI and for it to default to that tab. Obviously it will list newly acquired items and additional acquisitions of previously obtained items (since you last checked your Items).

9) Every couple seconds the Frame Rate drops in to the single digits for a extremely brief moment (lasts for less than a quarter of a second each occurrence/is micro-stutter), my TV's motion interpolation can't compensate for it. The frame rate is overall inconsistent as well unlike the original releases of KH1 and 2 which have consistent FPS throughout (and run on significantly inferior hardware). May be resolved by installing a faster HDD/SSD in to the PS4.

10) No option to adjust the positioning of all Gummi blocks simultaneously when editing a ship.

11) Item comparisons only show the end result, they do not simultaneously show information about the currently equipped item and the item you're deciding to replace it with nor does it display a Difference value. You only get a blue colour text = good, red colour text = bad and white colour text = same.

12) Voice acting is not up to par with KH1 and 2 and dialog pacing isn't too good either. It's a servicable experience.

13) When looking at characters in the Bestiary and Glossary there's no optoin to zoom the character model nor picot them.

14) Being able to generate reaction commands by spamming attack/magic attack is kinda nutty... you spend every fight with a non-stop barrage of reaction commands available to use (so combat is all about flashy moves and less about gameplay). Also its dumb having reaction commands when you're not reacting to anything. If it required 33% more attacks/magic attacks to generate a Reaction command this way it'd maaaaybe put the mechanic in a good place (for Proud Mode and harder difficulty).

15) Allow the Disable Attraction Attacks ability in Critical Mode to be accessible in all difficulties. It seems very arbitrary for it to be restricted to Critical Mode.

For the record I use Sennheiser Pro HD380 circumaural headphones. Lately I tend to let the cord hang loose instead of resting the slack on my torso while I sit, because it minimizes the sound of the cord movements.

If there were wired circumaural headphones out there with active noise cancelling technology that can mitigate the noise of the cord dragging on textured surfaces that'd be amazing.

MS gave up on making their own rendering engine because Google was actively sabotaging them by embedding anti-Edge code in their websites. It sucks, but when you only supply the browser, the company that supplies the browser and content gets to dictate everything.

The sabotaging is still happening, Google is delivering versions of Youtube websites that rely on depreciated beta functionality while either... not doing that if you access the website with Chrome or Chrome supports the defunct functionality when it really shouldn't be.

There's an add-on for Firefox and Chrome to get Google to deliver their older Youtube website design and experience a significantly more responsive website: https://github.com/xxzefgh/youtube-classic-extension (I use this and a custom dark theme.)

Also, if the 30k URL hard cap becomes put into practice, websites could just use a large enough variation that it wouldn't be possible to block.

You'd just have to install thousands of adblocking add-ons each with their own 30,000 limit...

It's a cardboard disc with pictures on the outer edge and a inner disc that spins around and also has pictures on its outer edge and the game will tell you to line it up in various ways or some such, been a long time since I saw it lol. Gotta do what it says and enter the corresponding values in to the software to be able to play the game.

For 2D side scrolling platformer games I use a Logitech F310 gamepad. It's not ideal for games that rely on rolling your thumb around the DPad (ie: various Street Fighter style fighting games where you have to perform circular motions on the DPad to pull off certain moves).

yes, yes we all know these *devices* suck ass, but the software can suck just as much ass too. Anyways I stumbled upon this situation just now with the Canon MG7560 scanner software: https://imgur.com/a/yctxRVw

Also the PNG files produced by this scanner software can't be opened by MSPaint. They are somehow an unsupported format.

I miss the Canon Scanjet scanners from 15~ years ago. The software they included did nothing dumb and also let you choose a specific portion of a scanned image to save to a file (The image preview quality was configurable independent of the actual scan too iirc, where as this new software always does a super fast low quality preview scan). I think they used a Microsoft API/interface in Windows 9x/XP for a lot of the software functionality.

If I had to guess, I'd say there's probably a feature where you can scan one file, name it "something_0000.png", and then each time you press a button it makes a new scan and saves it to the same location with the same name, but with the counter incremented. If you had a stack of a hundred invoices to scan (or whatever) I can imagine that being quite handy. If that's what it's doing, maybe it's trying to add 1 to 4,198,415 then trying to format the result into 4 digits and overflowing.

Kind of weird that it would do that at startup, though, and without being explicitly asked.

It definitely seems like that is what is happening. The problem is that it shouldn't be remembering the file name used from the previous Scan Gear session, and as you said it should either ask before utilizing such a system or at the very least give an option to change the file name prefix that it's using instead of just denying the ability to use the software at all.

> Also the PNG files produced by this scanner software can't be opened by MSPaint. They are somehow an unsupported format.

I wonder if they're 16-bit-per-channel instead of 8-bit-per-channel. Can you view them in your browser, for example?
They can be viewed correctly in Firefox. The exact error that MSPaint throws up is:

---------------------------
Paint
---------------------------
D:\My Documents\Canon Scanner\2019_06_21\Invoice 1.png

Paint cannot read this file.

This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported.
