Aside from the person misusing the terms Cheat and Cheating to describe this intentional in-game mechanic, this is pretty shitty stuff to be doing in a competitive shooter: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/9ygmzy/so_apparently_dice_has_a_builtin_cheat_mechanic/

Worsening the leading teams experience instead of only improving the experience of the losing team will just feel bad for competent players. You get good at the game so the game... makes you take longer to get back to playing the game you're good at (longer respawn)!?

Super Mario Kart reduces the variety of items you can pickup up as you move up in the ranks but it doesn't do something crazy like make your steering worse or acceleration worse etc.

Super Mario Bros 3. Co-op played at Games Done Quick Express

Why is there an extra route hacked in to the overworld to circumvent the first mini-fortress of World 4? You can see it at 24:13. Were there any other overworld changes that I missed? Edit: I missed the apparent use of a Hammer to open that shortcut (which I didn't know existed).

I don't get it.

I set my birthday to March 1, but my profile is displaying my birthday as February 28.

Is there possibly some timezone stuff being applied to something it shouldn't?
In that screen shot the small box showing 3/01/1989 says the first of march (if m/dd/yyyy). The big calander box also says the same thing, what is the purpose of your screenshot?

When I view your profile it also shows 1st of March 1989. Edit: Okay, there was another page to the topic that I didn't see.

file association has been (partially) buggered since at least the Creator Update for Windows 10. If you associate picture files (JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF etc.) with a Win32 program (MSPAINT, Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer etc.) you won't be able to open 16 or more pictures simultaneously, instead what happens is it'll set one as the current desktop wallpaper and create a slideshow thing for the desktop wallpaper consisting of all the images you tried to open (no warning or prompt for consent). The right-click context menu when you select a lot of images will also be missing the "Open" and "Open With" options.

None of the above happens if the picture files are associated with an "App", with them associated with an App you can open 100's of images simultaneously in the App instead of them being automatically without consent set as a wallpaper slideshow.

The right-click context menu when you select a lot of images will also be missing the "Open" and "Open Which" options.

Images of more than one type? It's been like that since Vista.

No, if I associate PNG and JPG to mozilla Firefox, select one image of both types and right-click them... I'll get an Open option as well as the Open With option, choosing either option or pressing Enter will also open both images in to Firefox. The problem I'm talking about only transpires when more than 15 files are selected (they can all have the JPG extension or a variety of extensions) and the file types are associated with a Win32 program.

That Vista issue I've never, ever observed.

I did just now observe that selecting and right-clicking multiple image types that are associated to different programs from each other will change the Open option to an "Edit with Paint 3D" option and remove Open With.

I wonder if any 64-bit app would workt he same way
Firefox is exclusively 64bit now, MSPaint is still 32bit iirc. I was just using the term Win32 to differentiate sensible programs from Apps (what term would you use instead?).

There's the "Apps" which are installed via the Microsoft Store (Microsoft coined the term "App" for them) and then there are Applications which is everything not installed via the Microsoft Store, I dunno what term I'd use to differentiate between them.

I doubt they'll use an flash media cards for sales purposes. The design of the console is for streaming and downloadable content only. GameStop has lost a lot of favor these past years due to either lack of availability of titles or the fact digital downloads are cheaper to buy, faster to get as higher bandwidth broadband proliferation continues, and just easier to maintain since you own the digital copy forever.

It's easier and faster to replace an HDD or SSD to a higher capacity model than buy enough game media disks to install the same capacity. Especially when you see 1TB 64-layer 3D TLC drives from companies like Samsung, Silicon Power, Toshiba, Western Digital, or SanDisk for under $150.

Downloadable games are very often more expensive than physical releases of games in Australia and downloadable games often have fewer and worse discounts.

If you want the english retranslation, get Symphony of the Night on the PS4 (it's a port of the PSP port). If you want the english translation then get the game on Xbox360, PS3 or PS1.

Also, a fun trick for doing damage with that slow, over-the-head swing: run toward the target, hit the attack button, *then* jump if necessary, and hopefully you'll reach the target before the animation ends, and deal your damage. Then immediately attack again, and now the target's within range you'll do damage at the *start* of the animation. Once you get the timing down right, and as long as you're in an area of the castle where enemies die in two hits, you can still get around pretty quickly even with a slow weapon. It certainly beats the heck out of dancing around every bone-throwing skeleton... I mean, uh, Morte Bone.
I tend to do jump cancels, though maybe that's only in the 3rd GBA game and later games. Specifically landing from a jump cancels the attack animation allowing for a quick hit each short jump you perform so your attack speed can be quite high and it's easy to perform the trick.

The annoying part about CotM is that they give you the running boots right at the very beginning, after which you never want to not run again. Then you’re double-tapping left and right for the whole game when they could’ve had you just run by default.
This is what is stopping me from playing beyond the first boss. Is there a mod/hack for this?

Afaik although the SPU does not need continual guidance from the CPU (unlike on the NES?) it still needs the CPU to tell it to begin playback and when to switch songs etc.
