I've seen this comparison been made a few times already about this game; It's like CoC and Dwarf Fortress had a baby. I happen to play both of those actually, and as anyone who plays Dwarf Fortress will happily tell you, losing is fun! At least, that's what they say in DF, but why don't we try to adopt some of that mentality for this game. Here's my idea…

Just because you lose doesn't mean you have to die, there are all sorts of kinky and exciting ways a character could be taken out of action:

1) A fairly simple one to begin with. The character is vored and digested. Yes, yes, I know, this isn't a kink that’s for everyone, but I haven’t seen a list of things that will not be added to the game (apologies if one exists and I missed it) so I figured it’s at least worth a mention. Perhaps there could be an added toggle in the options giving the players the option to turn some of the more extreme kinks off.

2) The character is captured and taken back to a monster’s lair to be used as a pleasure slave. This (I'm guessing) could also be quite easy to implement, but it could also be expanded upon. The game-play doesn't have to end there. After a character recovers from being helpless they could wake up in shackles or in a cell or cage in a monster’s lair and have to find a way to break out before the monsters whip you enough/force feed you enough mind altering potions/whatever to break your will and end that game.

I have other scenarios, but they’re all a little more… extreme and before I expose too much of my deviance to the world I figure I might as well see the reactions to this idea. Of course, do feel free to add any ideas of your own that you might have on the subject. Or tell me why this is stupid and could never work I suppose.

There is such a list actually. It's in the first thread I made on Fen's forum about this game, before Guest revived all the interest a little over a month later. Vore's totally on it.

I like the second idea in general, though. Definately something to consider.

Heh, these are the Fen man's immortal words too.

Hit me up via email or PM on the Fenoxo fourms, I wanna pick your brain, cos it's sexy in there.

Idea, numbah twooo is pretty damn cool.

I was actually thinking something along these lines as well, except I pictured the PC being able to continue living after an game over, thus enabling a player to continue the game.

Picture an guardian angel, some sort of Valkyrie if you will (ever play too human?). It would be an (extraordinarily) rare event that revives a player upon death, the longer your playing time is, the more likely it is that this will occur.

Poor bastard: "How much?" Lilith: "Twenty metric fuck tons of gold and I'm all yours, hawtstuff~" Poor bastard: "Uh miss, a fuckton isn't an actual unit of measurement." Lilith: "Bullshit, a metric fuckton is 1000 metric assloads. Which, if you actually fucking went to school, you'd know was equal to 32.5 Helluvalots."

Meh. More like a new PC can find the remains of the old one and get all those items back.
