Date Quest 2 Screen Shots

Joey Attention everyone!!!!!
3 Date Quest 2 screen shots have been posted on my web page: http://Joekool224.tripod.com
The screen shots right now may not be high quality looking, but further ones will. So far it is about 25% done. I will get a lot more done today since I don't have much other stuff to do.
Robin_Gravel It's seen you keep the same way to make your backgrounds than date quest 1.

Keep up the good work.

Rich Ah... very interesting. Up to my level of quality on games. I didn't realize you had so many games already. I will download them and check them out.
Rich Hi Joey, I've played all your games. Now, allow me to review them. First off, they are all too easy and fast! There's nothing to them. Also, most of your scenes are taken from other games. Why, the first scene in Agent Quest was taken right out of Meezo's Ralph's Quest. The other big problem is the severe lack of commands. You need to add a lot more possible things that you can type in. The way it looks now, the only commands I can enter are ones that I need to type into win! That's no good. Date Quest didn't enter understand a lot of commands I tried, such as "Kiss Girl" "Ask for Date", "Get Date"... hell... it didn't even understand the word Date and it's Date Quest! Hmm... also seemed similiar to FQ1 but without the frills. Now, as for your snowboarding game. Functionality I would add include taking away the ability to go back up hill. Real snowboarders can't do that! Also, make it so that the character is always going down; they can't stop! They can only swerve and go straight down. Also, I would like see my character hit the tree instead of going through it! Hey, though, I only say these things as constructive criticism. I hope you won't take it any other way. I'm trying to help you!

Okay.

The scene was taken from Police Quest in the first place.

Real snowboarders always go uphill to take the same jump over and over again. And why do say you shouldn't be able to stop?
Joey Ok. first of all. Snowbaording was my first game ever. I had no knowelge what so ever. The only thing I could do was if (said(".....
Get Outta Space Quest was also a learner for me. I had very very little knowledge. Agent Quest, I gave up on the stuff I wanted to put in. I wanted to make it so when you shoot it would animate a view and stuff. But I gave up on that because I couldnt get it to do that. Date Quest, I was kind of pleased with. I know it sucks though. Oh and I did not know how to draw priority lines. I just figured that out now. And I had been to the message board once in a while by accident when searching for fan made agi games, but had no idea you could post. There for, I was by myself. Jon didnt know anything about logic either. I know my games suck, but you will love date quest 2. You can climb walls, get killed by a butcher (hehehe) and other great stuff. I don't want to spoil it. It is about 35% done. I have been working quickly. I do however, have to thank Chris Cromer. My game would have been like the others if it werent for him. Although, some pictures will not be high quality. At this point, some are not. I may edit those ones. And I already gave thought to DQ3. I was thinking about putting it in SCI. Any way, I will give updates of DQ2 soon. Rich, I know those games suck, but they were my first.
Joey Oh and about going through the tree on snowboarding.
I had no idea how to do priority lines, or any other commands to make you fall or stop. I doubt I will be updating any of these games, although I worked on agent quest after the release and made it so you can shoot and the guys head blows off, but im not releasing that. DQ2, hmmmm. Im still not sure. I wanted to put sex in it, but, if my dad finds out im dead. Im not sure what to do about that. I will think about that when I get to that point.
Joey I have added another screen shot.
check it out.

Feel free to put sex in your game if you like but unlike Date Quest 1, I will not put Date Quest 2 on my site if you add sex in this game.

Joel A minor point. Date Quest 1 tells you that if you get over 45 points you cheated...I got 48 points and I didn't cheat (seriously).

Maybe getting more than 45 points is supposed to be a secret goal in the game.. :)
gpm Joey,
Just thought of an idea for your game in the scene where you climb the building. (a little inspiration from Romeo and Juliet?) Instead of rock-like waves on the side of the building, how about some bricks? Or if you REALLY want to make the scene like Romeo and Juliet, why not some vines/flowers?

I was reminded of King's Quest and Space Quest by that screenshot, because those old games had so many references to other works, and it'd be really cool to see something like that again.
Mastercard I thought the same...
I think that you should change the wall part a little and maybe you could make te text on the wall of the shop straight and nice, but otherwise they are ok.
Joey I dont know how the hell you got 48 without doing something over again. Anyway, I may edit the climbing picture a little. I might finish the game, then add cool touches, then release it. Im not sure.
Joey That part is not supposed to be like romio and juliette
you'll see when the game is released
i havent worked on it for 2 days
i will be working on it monday-friday
i doubt weekends.
Joel Now that I think about it, I may have typed "change clothes" twice. I just checked and it gives you points every time you type it. That hardly constitutes cheating, though, at least not anymore than telling Hoffman to stop a bunch of times in PQ1 :)
Joey Again, I must say this. DQ1 and the past games, I had no knowledge. For DQ2 I actually put the pictures from DQ1 in(Because you are kind of continuing from there.)
Then, I drew all the other ones so far. But anyway, for DQ1 I had no idea about how to use flags or what they were even for! But now I know. Chris has helped me out alot lately, and if it werent for him, I wouldnt have been able to make this game like I wanted to as it is now. Chris will be put in the about menu, and in the credits.
