Complete Newbie Graphics Question

Jesus DeSaad Hi, I just learned about the program, and I must say I'm quite interested, but...

1) Does it support more than 256 colors?
2a) Will I be able to import music (for background)?
2b) If yes, in what format?
3a) Will I be able to import sound (voice-acting, sound-effects)?
3b) If so in what format?

(Basically I'm looking for Monkey Island 3 quality in graphics and sound)

4) If it doesn't meet these expectations, does anyone know where I can find a program that does?

Hi

I can answer some questions :)

1) Currently SCI Studio ONLY supports 16 colours, at 320 x 200. Eventually the VGA version will be released, which will support 256 colours.

You won't get Monkey Island 3 quality graphics from SCI Studio. Adventure Game Studio *might* have the features you want. www.agsforums.com

Robert Eric *plug* Adventure Game Studio supports 8 and 16-bit color depths, while also supporting the 320x200, 320x240, 640x400,640x480, and 800x600 screen resolutions. Most, if not all of the stuff possible to do in it can be done by just clicking your mouse and naming certain things. Or, you can hard code the whole thing or certain areas to do what you want it to do. You can use it to make any type of game you want, from Sierra, to Lucas-Arts. You're not confined to create adventure games either, some of the more advanced users have created platform, action, RPG, and 2D/3D car driving games. *plug*

But, if you are looking to create genuine fan-Sierra games, you should use SCI Studio. SCI Studio is very versatile too. Once the new version of SCI Studio comes out, you can pretty much make whatever you want with it.
Jesus DeSaad Right. Thanks, you guys! :)
Unfortunately my 1st adventure was Monkey Island 3 and nothing else comes close to it. I just can't stand those Larry graphics.

I'll check out the Adventure prog instead.
