 Anyone from China/Taiwan here? [found]
Found an incredibly hard to obtain game that I really want to buy, but I need to ask the seller a question, yet I don't know Mandarin. I presume it'd also need to be written using traditional characters given it's Taiwan.

And lastly, I'd need to buy the item. I do know of some deputies at least.

I have a friend who (I believe) speaks Mandarin. I'll shoot him a message and see if he's able/willing to help out.

The question part is taken care of, and we're good there!

Now all I need to do is find someone who can bid on items from http://tw.bid.yahoo.com and then send it to me. In other words, a Taiwanese deputy service.

I've found a lot on Google searches, but none of them seem to have an extensive history. I can't really find any online reviews that look entirely legitimate.

I'd really like a person I can trust that can bid on the item for me, or at least a referral from someone who's used a Taiwanese deputy successfully in the past for an expensive item.

Time is *very* limited here, too ... :/

He's in Beijing. This is in Taiwan. I asked him all the same, but I don't think it'll be that easy since there's some ... tensions, between the two (Taiwan thinks they're a separate country, China thinks otherwise.)

The Republic of China and the People's Republic of China both believe there's only one nation of China, and only one legitimate Chinese government. They both believe that the Chinese government should rightfully control both the mainland and the island of Taiwan, and that part of their territory has been unfairly stolen by insolent rebels. They just disagree on which Chinese government is the legitimate one.

One of them was in the UN. Then we kicked them out and put another one of them in the UN. Then the one we brought in went full retard and the one we kicked out became a more free country than the USA.

Okay, this has a successful resolution!

The guy that runs letsgobuy-tw.com managed to negotiate with the seller (twice), in order to lock in NT $6000 from the list price of NT $888,888 (which is apparently how Chinese auctions usually indicate "make your best offer" ... but not always.)

So along with deputy fees and EMS shipping, about $300 we have this!

The divide between rarity and value is always something that interests me greatly.

I am only aware of one other person on the planet who owns this cartridge. And yet I was able to pick it up from the seller for US $200 (the rest went to aforementioned deputy and shipping fees, plus a bonus commission for his help negotiating on my behalf.)

There are more known gold NWC cartridges, way more known Little Samson carts, etc. Yet something like this could go for so little by comparison.

... which is perfectly fine by me! I don't intend to sell this cartridge, so the lower price was a welcome relief, even if the amount still hurt. It's such a cool piece for my collection. I've decided to keep my Korean-localized games too, and will probably do the same for the Brazillian FIFA '98.

It's definitely one of the most interesting titles in the entire SNES library for all regions. Really happy to have it in my collection now :D

I still hope I can get a proper 600dpi scan of the box and manual one day, of course.

Is there anything particularly special about this cart apart from the rarity? (I'm assuming not)

Just rarity and novelty as the only Chinese-language SNES game.

> Has this been dumped before?

I think so.
