I am kinda hoping the next step for the DVD-Video exploit is a DVD-V that installs the traditional memory card hack.

its a matter of time, the paper goes over how to modify the iso to load a random elf

just the fallout from licensing would be something to behold if big green goes thru with the purchase and changes some of the deals.

I'll save you all a click:

you can just copy the URL of a youtube video, Media->Open Location from clipboard.

don't give the robot voice spam adds more money.

If the link doesn't start playing, you might need to update/replace the youtube.luac file located here:
https://github.com/videolan/vlc/blob/master/share/lua/playlist/youtube.lua

After that you should be able to open the video the way funkyass mentioned. Once it's playing go to tools > codec information and copy the 'location' link.

you meant to say update your copy of VLC? that files comes with the basic install of VLC, since like 2008.

if a game genie code works would depend on the game revision, and whether it survived the game of Chinese whispers over the years, and a game genie code is a just an encoded memory address and value. emulating the game genie rom wouldn't make it operate any differently.

modern emulators give you the tools to actually fix the code if you wanted to.

emulating the game genie isn't going to make broken codes work.

am I reading this right, did joshua think that a life code for one game would work on another if he swapped cartridges?

that would probably wreck stuff if tried on real hardware.

its the real life equvilant of plugging in a game genie without a game, and then swapping it with a game. Could you use the game genie without a game plugged in?

nmbr is a string that is 2 characters long, so yeah its not going to write a single byte, especially if you tell it to treat it as an array of utf-8 characters. Cast to an int, and stuff that int into an array:

writeFile.write(bytes([int(nmbr,base=16)]))

however, make use of the csv module. you be writing less code

code flex:

import sys,io, struct

csvName = sys.argv[1]
with open(csvName, "r") as f:
line = f.readline()
while line != '':
lineList = line.split(',')
with open(lineList[0],"r+b") as writeFile:
writeFile.seek(int(lineList[1]))
#cntr = 0

nmbr = [int(lineList[2][i:i+2],base=16) for i in range(0, len(lineList[2])-1,2)]

writeFile.write(bytes(nmbr))
#print(bytes(nmbr,'utf-8'))
#print(nmbr)
#print(bytes(nmbr))
#need to step through above for string slicing
#while cntr < lineList
#next do a loop where you grab lineList[3][n:n+1],
#convert it from a hex string to an int,
#and write it.
#maybe int(lineList[3][n:n+1],16)
#cntr += 1
line = f.readline()

The main problem is that nvidia's 2000 and AMDs 5000 series both were meh. the 1060 6GB was an amazing upgrade, the 2060 and the 16 series not so much.

If AMD is smart, they only announce their 3060 competitor, and it better be cheaper, even if it only matches a 2080 it'll fly.

They want to get rid of sata not because of the space it takes on the board, but the +5v and 3.3v it needs from the power supply. Intel at least wants to push a standard that only has 12 volts coming from the power supply, and have the motherboard do any needed voltage conversion. that means you need molex and sata power sockets on the MB...

So you are probably gonna see more USB sata enclosures.

Sata express failed since it launched at the same time as the m.2 and nvme - both standards needing exactly 0 cables to work.
